关于 Upgrade

我们前面介绍过 Upgrade 的信用卡，也提及过最早的 Upgrade Everyday Savings（已无法申请）。最近 Upgrade 又推出了 Upgrade Premier Savings 储蓄账户，跟 Upgrade Everyday Savings 的特点其实是一样的，并且开有 Everyday Savings 依然可以持有 Premier Savings 储蓄账户，而且有存款奖励。注意，如果持有 Upgrade Checking 账户，可以秒批这个存款账户

这个银行大家可能了解的不多，但是至少都是有存款保护的。所以安全性上没啥问题 

Rewards Checking Plus is FDIC-insured up to $250,000 through Cross River Bank, Member FDIC.

When you sign up for the Premier Savings product through Upgrade, you will open a Premier Savings account at Cross River Bank, Member FDIC under the terms of your Savings Deposit Account Agreement and agree to participate in a custodial deposit program offered by Upgrade and Cross River Bank (the “Program”) .

Your funds at Cross River Bank and at a Participating Institution are eligible for FDIC or NCUA insurance coverage up to $250,000 per ownership category and per institution.

Checking 账户

开户奖励

这个 checking 现在提供 $200 的开户奖励，需要 45 天内完成总共 $1000 的 direct deposit.

叠加奖励（暂无）

开户可以叠加 Swagbucks 的 $120，总结可以拿到 $320，具体步骤

返现功能

其实这个 checking 还是有点用的，本身的 debit card 有 1% 的特定消费返现，其余 0.5%。特定类别包含便利店、药店、餐馆、加油、定期账单支付、定期的手机网络电视和流媒体支付。

如果你每个月有 $1000 的 direct deposit 到 checking，就变成了 2% 特定消费返现，其他是 1%

Rewards Checking Plus customers who set up monthly direct deposits of $1,000 or more earn 2% cash back on common everyday expenses at convenience stores, drugstores, restaurants and bars - including deliveries - and gas stations, as well as recurring payments on utilities and monthly subscriptions including phone, cable, TV and other streaming services, and 1% cash back on all other debit card purchases. 2% cash back is limited to $500 in rewards per calendar year; after $500, customers earn 1% cash back on all eligible debit card purchases for the remainder of the year.

Rewards Checking Plus accounts with less than $1,000 in monthly direct deposits 60 days after account opening will earn 1% cash back on common everyday expenses and 0.50% cash back on all other eligible debit card purchases

这个银行还提供三张比较有趣的信用卡，如果你跟着信用卡一起开 checking 会有 $200 的开户奖励

Saving 账户

开户奖励

现在开 Saving 账户，最高可以送 $200 的奖励。另外还可以享受 4.14%APY。这个开户奖励其实一般般，但是配合上这个高息账户，还算不错的，钱不浪费。

具体要求如下。注意必须 30 天内存满，存款必须维持 60 天。

申请材料

如果你持有 Upgrade checking 账户，则开户秒批。

如果你没有 Checking，则需要提供很多材料，具体包括：

  • 仅支持 SSN 申请
  • 4506-C
  • 自拍照
  • 政府 ID（可用护照）
  • 近两年的税表（联邦税）
  • 最新的 W-2

此外，还有以下几点

  • 手机支持 VoIP 类，如 Google Voice 等
  • 不支持 NRA 线上开户，但是银行并不严格执行此政策。
  • 账户提供一张借记卡
  • 奖励会发 1099-int 税表（RA）或者 1042-S (NRA)，这两张税表对身份都没有要求，可以正常报税。
